Jewish Voice for Peace is a national membership organization with over 60 chapters and 200,000 online supporters dedicated to helping win equality for all people of Israel/Palestine. Our approach integrates grassroots organizing, strategic communications, policy advocacy, and coalition building.

The Digital Manager is a new position at JVP, formulated to help us grow, engage and deepen our 200,000+ online supporter base to win equality for all people of Israel/Palestine.

The main responsibilities are to:
  • Develop and execute inspiring, impact-oriented email and multi-channel campaigns that make a difference. 
  • Write compelling, authentic, and creative emails that lift up authentic voices and inspire people to take action.
  • Identify campaign opportunities for JVP by, for example, monitoring world and national events, 
  • Track, experiment with, and improve the infrastructure of the email program to grow our list.
  • Collaborate with all teams in JVP (especially Organizing and Fundraising) to achieve their goals.
  • Work with other members of the Communications Team to create high-quality original content (videos, graphics, etc) that tell the story of our work and reaches people on an emotional level.
  • Represent JVP in coalitions 
  • Participate as a full member of our staff team. 

  • 2-5 years experience in a position of strategic leadership working on digital and multi-channel campaigns
  • Strong writing skills under a deadline, including the ability to express emotion, clearly and succinctly communicate complex issues, and inspire JVP’s supporters to act
  • Knowledge of, and ability to generate, digital advocacy tactics that engage JVP supporters in our campaigns
  • Comfortable working unsupported with online campaign tools: including basic HTML skills, the ability to segment emails to include and exclude key constituencies, set up A/B experiments, and analyze the results;
  • Happy working as a collaborative member of a team in fast-moving work situations
  • Organized and accountable: can prioritize easily, is responsive to new opportunities and challenges, and is able to balance collaborative and independent work.
  • Interest in working within and learning about Jewish communities and justice in Israel/Palestine.
  • Clear commitment to anti-racist organizing and basebuilding as an approach
Compensation:  This is an exempt, salaried full time position in the low sixties with a generous benefits package.

Location: The Digital Manager can work from anywhere in the United States with organizational support to set-up a home office, or to share space with aligned organizations. Preference for an organizer based in New York City or Eastern Time zone.
